Full Weekend Pass
Full Weekend Pass
Track Levels: Please sign up for the track that you think best suits your level, but realize that signups for the advanced track will be provisional, and require an audition or approval. We’re striving to make this the kind of event that has as few Machiavellian shenanigans as possible, and, in Baltimore, we tend to look askance at excessive respect for authority—so don’t take it too seriously. You know, comply, but whimsically.
The intermediate track will be taught by a variety of local instructors and is composed of two main chunks. First, the students will be generally tormented with an intense, technique-driven boot camp portion. This will solidify your basics, and, we hope, take them to the advanced level. Eat your Wheaties. The rest of the classes will focus on solo jazz material as an independent subject and then on the technique required to smoothly integrate solo jazz into your social Lindy Hop.
The majority of this track will be taught by our guest instructors, Marie and Anders, who specialize in solo jazz and are going to focus on making it a foundational aspect of your Lindy Hop. This class requires permission to join, and students must be advanced Lindy Hoppers and competent solo jazz dancers. Auditions will be held at the beginning of the weekend for those we can't immediately place.
Rather than upping the prices of our full weekend pass as the cheaper tickets sell out, we have opened registration for all pricing tiers at the same time. There is no difference between the tiers (except the price), and anyone is welcome to grab a cheaper ticket while they are available. That said, if you want to ensure that you get a spot in the workshops but feel comfortable paying the higher rate, consider picking one of the upper tier ticket prices. That way, you reserve your spot and keep a more affordable spot available for an eager young dancer.
WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A TICKET IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO USE IT. IF YOU DO BUY A TICKET AND DECIDE NOT TO COME, YOU ARE WELCOME TO SELL THE TICKET OR PUSH IT TO NEXT YEAR. AGAIN, WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS.
